Angela & Jim

January 22, 2010

Angela and Jim were married in a beautiful traditional ceremony on a hot summer day. They incorporated shades of salmon and butter, and lots of gorgeous flowers. Angela wanted her day to have a vintage feel, and we incorporated shades of gold and bronze. 225 hand-tied programs rounded out the stationery suite! Congrats Angela and Jim!

Vintage Patterns

January 10, 2010

My latest obsession and inspiration is vintage patterns. I just cannot get enough! I had a blast using vintage inspired papers and fabrics in my own wedding, and am waiting for an adventurous bride to request some fabulous vintage inspiration for her own wedding! Below are a few fun prints I love.

Kellie and Jason were married on a colorful fall day in Iowa. It didnt take Kellie long to figure out what she wanted for invitations- she fell in love with a set I had done previously for DeAnna! We made some modifications to coordinate with Kellie’s vision for her wedding, and there you have it! I love love love the fall leaves!

Abby & Tony

September 29, 2009

Abby and Tony had a gorgeous chocolate and pink celebration. Their reception was held a a country club in their hometown, and they were able to take lots of fun outside photos. For their stationery, we chose to do square invitations, double matted in pink and chocolate. A shimmery pink swirl accented the invitation and RSVP. We printed a pretty map to guide the guests from the church to the reception. My absolute favorite part of Abby’s reception? The square cupcakes!!

Laura & Daniel

September 23, 2009

Laura chose a classic black and ivory color scheme for her Minneapolis wedding, and definitely knew what she wanted. We used all shimmer paper and envelopes, and added just a hint of gold to the stationery pieces to give them a pop of color. Black shimmer pockets held all of the stationery elements together. Her flowers really accentuated the gold and looked fantastic with the black dresses and tuxedos! Laura even carried over the swirl design from the invitation directly onto the cake. Yum! This was one fabulous city wedding.

DeAnna & Aaron

September 1, 2009

DeAnna and Aaron celebrated with a winter wedding in Florida. DeAnna definitely had a vision for her wedding while she was planning, and it really paid off! Her gorgeous color pallet of reds and oranges combined with classic elements such as that amazing white Rolls Royce and pretty calla lilies created a stunning affair.

Erin & Nathan

August 22, 2009

Check out these gorgeous photos from Erin and Nathan’s wedding. I was so excited about working with Erin because her main color was slate blue, which is the same color I chose for my own wedding! It was really fun to see the other elements Erin chose for her wedding, and how everything came together. For these invitations, we screen printed with 3 ink colors. We custom mixed the blue ink so that it coordinated with the cardstock and Erin’s bridesmaid dresses. To bind everything together, we used a vellum bellyband.

Check out that cheesecake… yum!

Laura & Jake

August 22, 2009

Laura went completely classic and elegant with her invitations. We started with a simple monogram, and printed on slightly textured paper with gold ink. An Information card and RSVP card rounded out the suite, which was enclosed in a sage green tri-fold and triple wrapped with classic ivory satin ribbon. A gorgeous wedding for a gorgeous bride!

Destination Wedding

Now that you have guest list and budget estimates, it is time to think about where you would like to have your wedding.

Have you always dreamed of a beach wedding? If your budget doesnt allow for an exotic destination, why not find a local beach to celebrate on? Explore all your options before ruling anything out!

Washington County Historic Courthouse

If you want something more traditional, check out the historic buildings in your area. Many of them have large ballrooms, and the grounds are often very well maintained. If the prices here are out of your budget, inquire about low season rates, or Friday or Sunday weddings. If you time things right, there is nothing inconvenient about a Friday or Sunday wedding! You will often get discounts from your other vendors (DJ’s, caterers, bakers, etc.) for using days that are not as high in demand. All you have to do is ask.

Church Ceremony

Many people choose to exchange vows at the church they grew up in, or the one they asa couple have decided to attend. If this is the route you are going to go, check out the venues near that church. If you have a lot of people coming in from out of town, they will appreciate not having to drive too far to get from the ceremony to the reception. If you choose a location a bit further away, be sure to include directions from ceremony to reception with your invitations or program.
